Rachel Rankin

Rachel Rankin is a Norwegian to English literary translator, poet, teacher and PhD researcher based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Rachel has experience of translating both literary and commercial texts from the Scandinavian languages, though Norwegian is her primary focus. She is currently working on a practice-led PhD which focuses on creatively illustrating theoretical debates in poetry translation. Rachel has also taught courses in Norwegian language and Scandinavian literature at the University of Edinburgh and is currently teaching online Norwegian language courses.

Rachel is also a award-winning poet. Her work has been published widely, and she has performed her work both nationally and internationally.
